Rocks, Mill Canyon Creek, Sierra National Forest (aka Yin and Yang)

Both of these images were created within five minutes of each other, in the same stream, less than 100 yards apart.

I think these images work well together as a balance of composition and contrast of warm vs. cool light. When placed next to each other, they really do begin to take on the form of Yin and Yang.

What do you think? Do they work together?

  1. Hi John,
Great work, even the ripples seem to match accross the two halves. Somhow the righthand part pulls stronger, when I squint my eyes the images look balanced, maybe it's the colour vs almost-monochrome?
